Kudos to Lee for placing as a finalist in the Cooperative Coffees “Cup of Excellence” competition. We are not surprised that his fine Guatemala Full City roast caught the attention of the judges, as we continue to receive emails and calls from customers who are wowed by the excellent quality and great taste of Lee’s coffee.

Café Campesino is delighted to welcome Kaycee LeRoy as our new customer service and fulfillment assistant. Kaycee is doing a great job and in her short time with us has demonstrated an impressive knack for accuracy and speed. She has also fit right in with Lee and Tripp at the roastery and its caffeine-charged work environment! Welcome aboard Kaycee!

As this newsletter hits your mailbox, Tripp and Lee will be heading off to the Green Festival in Washington, D.C. Although Hurricane Ivan has threatened to join them, the event is a great opportunity for like-minded companies to get together in the name of all that is green and good! If you plan on being in the DC area September 18th and 19th, we recommend that you check out the festival. And be sure to stop by and visit Tripp and Lee in booth 329 at the DC Convention Center if you get a chance.

On September 29th, Tripp and Bill travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to speak about Fair Trade and coffee with folks from the First United Methodist Church. First United recently opened a coffee house at their church and are doing a great job serving up Café Campesino coffee! While in Tuscaloosa, Tripp and Bill will also be speaking with a group of students from the University of Alabama about Fair Trade and Café Campesino.
