If you’ve tried to catch up with anyone from Café Campesino lately, chances are you’ve had a tough time… We’ve been in constant motion, serving up Café Campesino and spreading the word at this year’s Coffee Fest in Atlanta, finalizing preparations for BRAG (Bike Ride across Georgia), which passes through Americus this Sunday, and getting ready for Paddle Georgia at the end of June, not to mention fulfilling our daily roasting responsibilities! Read about all the goings-on here in this month’s Community Caravan. Also in this issue, we are delighted to feature a beautifully written article titled Café Campesino on the Border by our good friend Nikki Hertel of Centro Mujeres de la Esperanza, one of our favorite CRS Fair Trade Program customers. Add in information about some of our producer partners whose coffee makes our BRAG Brew so special, a very unique coffee recipe — Israeli Coffee Chicken — and a newsletter special “double feature,” and we’re off and running. Read on and enjoy!
