Summer heat is on its way and despite several 90 degree days already, Café Campesino is ramping up for a busy, busy summer 2007! We have a full calendar of activities and events for the next several weeks, including a visit from our friends at Ten Thousand Villages in Atlanta, morning coffee responsibilities at Coffee Fest Atlanta, preparations for BRAG 2007 and its routing through Americus, and Paddle Georgia – all of which you can read all about in our Community Caravan. In this issue of Fair Grounds, we also offer a few ideas on how to celebrate World Fair Trade Day 2007, an update about the great things our friends at Maya Tech Learning Centers are doing in Guatemala, and instructions on how to whip up a batch of homemade Café Campesino coffee ice cream to stay one step ahead of the heat.
