Recipe of the Month: Brazilian Spice Coffee

Written by Cafe Campesino on Nov 8, 2010 in NEWSLETTER, Recipes |

Well, guys and gals, it’s finally here: crisp, cool, fall weather!! Let’s hope it’s here to stay. Here are some facts: It’s cold. You’re cold. Therefore, you want something hot to drink. Sorry frappuccino, it’s too cold for you (although very tasty!). So what do you want? Warming with a hint of spices, I give you the Brazilian Spiced Coffee; the perfect fall drink! Admittedly, Rusty, our roaster, gave the inspiration for this recipe. Easy to make as well with just three ingredients: our Brazil Viennese Roastcoffee, fresh ground cinnamon, and our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Medium Roast coffee.

1) With a French Press coffee maker, prepare a 12oz. portion of Brazil Viennese Roast coffee (2 oz. of coffee ((ground for a french press)) for a 12 oz. portion of water).
2) Brew the Yirgacheffe as regular drip coffee – at least enough for 2 cups.
3) ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Into your coffee mug, spoon the cinnamon followed by Brazilian coffee and then your Ethiopian coffee. Give it a stir and enjoy!
