Café Campesino Wake ‘N Shake

HURRY, HURRY, YOU’RE RUNNING LATE!!…. This sounds like the perfect time for a Café Campesino: Wake ‘N Shake. If you’re the type that prefers breakfast on the go, this is the drink for you!

Ingredients:

4 oz. Café Campesino Cold Brew Coffee* or Espresso
4 oz. organic half and half (You can substitute any milk or soy milk)
2 oz. organic milk chocolate syrup or powder (add more if you prefer) (vanilla and/or caramel syrups make delicious substitutes!)
1 full pint glass of ice
One peeled banana

Directions:

Combine all of the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into pint glass (or Café Campesino travel mug and enjoy! Whipped cream is an excellent topping.

*Prepare your cold brew by mixing a ½ gallon of water with a ½ pound of coarse ground coffee in a gallon size container. Allow to sit at room temperature for eight to ten hours. (At the café we allow our cold brew to sit overnight). After the coffee has been allowed to sit, pour the mixture through a tight-meshed strainer. This will separate the coffee grounds from the espresso. Pour your cold brewed coffee into a container of your choice and refrigerate. This recipe yields 8 cups.  To make a larger batch, simply double the size of the recipe.
