Urban Farming Takes Root near Sweet Auburn Coffee Shop
Our Atlanta coffee shop wants to see Rashid Nuri’s vision for the Old Fourth Ward succeed. An urban farmer who wants to bring a community garden to downtown Atlanta, Rashid Nuri has his work cut out for him. But he’s makin’ some headway. Yesterday, Mr. Nuri broke ground on a space near our Atlanta coffee shop that will soon become a thriving urban farm with the help of the Arthur Blank Family Foundation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Wheat Street Baptist Church and members of the community.
